I'll be presenting a discussion called "Anatomy of a Commission: The Genesis Baptistery." This talk is aimed at the process junkie in all of us. See design concepts, architectural drawings, patterns, assembly methods and installation photos. See how a "large and complicated" off-site mosaic is created and installed.

The assembled mosaic for the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini baptismal font in El Paso, Texas, prior to installation. Here it's shown laid out on another church's floor. 

The mosaic will be installed on the font floor and up the steps, with dry lunettes inlaid into the concrete and limestone floor. Most of the finished mosaic will be under water.
